BABY PUPPY (Level 1)

These classes will help you socialise your puppy to people, places, strange objects, and other puppies—so they will grow up to be friendly and easy to take anywhere. We cover puppy basics, such as sit, down, stay, walk nicely on a leash, leave it and come when called. Included is vital information about behaviour management and preventing problems from getting out of control. We can help with biting, toilet training, chewing, digging and more.
For: Pups aged 8-14 weeks at the first lesson
Duration: 1 hour lessons, 4 week program
Class Size: is limited to 6 pups with a maximum of two people attending per pup 
Prerequisites: Pup has had first vaccination
Cost: $185, includes training booklet

Baby Puppy Start Dates

JUNIOR PUPPY (Level 2)

Junior Puppy program will provide you with the training and information to raise a puppy that is a joy to live with. You will learn basic puppy obedience, behaviour problem solving and managing undesirable behaviour. This course is good for continuing training from Baby Puppy Class or for any pup who missed out on puppy preschool.
Junior Puppy is an foundation course that will introduce basic good manners training. Each week we will be working to real-life scenarios so that you can learn what to do outside of class.
  • This program is NOT suitable for reactive or aggressive dogs. Dogs and puppies who lunge aggressively, cower in fright or bark excessively in the presence of other strange dogs or people are not suitable for Level 2 classes. Please contact us for other training options​.​
Sit to greet people instead of jumping
Drop into a down position to encourage your dog to quietly settle
Name Game gets your dog paying attention and looking at you
Leash Handling skills and treat delivery
Marker Training for better communication with your dog
Mat/Stationing gives your dog a spot to go to
Stay in place
Greeting manners for no jumping up
Walk nicely on lead without pulling
Come back promptly when called
At the end of this program you will have a better understanding of the how and why of dog behaviour, training and an improved relationship with your pup.
For: Pups 4 months up to 2 years old at first lesson (please contact us first if you want to register a dog over 2 years old)
Duration: 40-45 minute lessons, 5 consecutive weeks

  • Pawprint Training Classes are designed to help pups and adolescent dogs in those important first few years.
  • Older dogs (over 2 years) can also benefit from attending  Junior Puppy (Level 2) but you will need to contact us first to discuss your dogs needs.
